Our annual K-5 Holiday Program will begin at 1:00 in the high school gym this Friday, December 1st! We hope to see everyone there. We would also love to see everyone at the HS/JH concert on Thursday, December 7th at 7:00.
Please remember to send coats, gloves, and hats with your children as we will be going out for fresh air at recess! Boots and snow pants can be sent for playing in the snow as well! Junior High students will also be going out for lunch recess so please be prepared. Happy Holidays!

Junior Achievement is looking for volunteers for 2nd grade-5th grade in Annawan. Volunteering with Junior Achievement is fun and easy! The grade school programs are made up of five lessons of approximately 45 minutes each. Typically a volunteer goes to the classroom 1 day per week; the schedule is coordinated with the educator. JA provides all of the lesson plans and materials (games, videos, journals, etc) to make the sessions as interactive as possible. We provide a 30-minute training session for new volunteers which provides tips and tricks for being comfortable in the classroom. Educators are required to be in the classroom at all times and partner with the volunteers to ensure success. Football Quarterfinal Game Info for Saturday -

2) Game time is 2 pm
3) There is limited bleacher space, fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
4) No seating is allowed on our side of the field and fans are not allowed to be on that side of the field (private property). Fans are not allowed on the track, on the sidelines, in the end zones, or anywhere else on the field.
5) No tailgating on school property. Lions Park is adjacent to the school grounds and is available as an area to tailgate in.
November is Type 1 Diabetes awareness month!
The Annawan girls basketball team is hosting a T1D awareness night on Wednesday, November 29th. The girls will be playing Wethersfield that night…we are hoping to pack the gym, raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of Type 1 Diabetes, and raise some money for the Pediatric Diabetes Resource Center at OSF in Peoria.
We will be collecting raffle baskets/donations for raffles all month so if you would like to make a donation, please contact myself or one of the basketball girls!
We also have a t-shirt link with a VERY fast turn around. The store is open now and will close on Thursday, November 9th! We will be picking up shirts and making drops to Annawan and Wethersfield schools, so please choose which your drop off point at check-out. If you are out of the area, but still would like to support T1D awareness, there is a shipping option.

Volleyball - Fan Bus
We are offering a fan bus to the VB super-sectional Friday.
Cost to ride is $3.00. Bus will leave at 3:30.
K - 8 riders will need an adult chaperone or ride with a high school sibling .
Cost into the game is $7.00 for digital, $8.00 in-person.
Riders can stay after school until fan bus time.
Sign up in the offices.Community members call the high school office to reserve a spot.
We need a minimum of 20 riders. Deadline to sign-up is 12:00 noon Friday.
Volleyball - Congratulations to the Bravettes for advancing to the IHSA Bushnell-Prairie City Super-Sectional after beating Illini Bluffs to win the IHSA Princeville Sectional. The Super-Sectional will be played on Friday, November 3. Game time is 6:00 PM.
