High School Football: The varsity football game on Friday (8/25) at South Fulton will now have a 8:00PM kick-off.

Junior high baseball and softball have been cancelled for today. No practice or games.

High School Football update: Tuesday and Thursday: 6pm-8pm @ WHS with AHS bus @ 5:15pm. Wednesday 7pm-9pm @ WHS with AHS bus at 6:15pm. Friday: AHS bus @ 2:45pm and WHS bus @ 3:15pm for game in Table Grove vs South Fulton.

High school volleyball schedule update: Monday, August 28 @ Morrison will have a 5:00 start time, JV followed by Varsity. Wednesday, August 30 vs LaMoille will be a varsity only contest starting at 6:00.

Junior High Baseball and Softball: The junior high baseball and softball games scheduled for today (8/21) at United have been postponed due to high heat index. Softball makeup will be Thursday, August 31 @ United 4:30 Baseball makeup will be Wednesday, September 6. This date will now be a A game DH starting at 4:00 in Annawan.

It’s been a great first day at Annawan Schools. Most students were eager to get the day started, see their friends, and reconnect with staff. It’s great and exciting to have a new start. Speaking of new, our district has added an SRO (School Resource Officer) to our staff. The SRO will be visible and actively participating in our school day. In coordination with the Village of Annawan, we were able to secure the services of Officer Doug Williams. Officer Williams has been in law enforcement for 29 years. During those years he taught the D.A.R.E program to 5th grade students and later in his career became a state and nationally certified school resource officer. He was previously an SRO in Rock Island and Coal Valley. We are very pleased to have him on our staff, and we believe he will be a tremendous asset to our school and the community as a whole. Welcome to Officer Williams!
