The Annawan School District will need to amend the calendar for this school year. The change will take place with the April 26th, 2024 11:35 dismissal date. This date will no longer be an 11:35 early dismissal. It will be a full attendance day for students.
Please mark your calendars! No early out in April! If you have any questions, please call the school office.

Junior High Volleyball - the JHVB game at Stark County scheduled for tonight (1/22) has been postponed due to weather. Make-Up TBD.
Hopefully, your power has been restored or will be restored soon. The school's power returned about 11 am. I know its been a long 24 hours. Today we used an e-learning day, based on the information given by the Office of Emergency Management that Ameren was hoping to have restored power by 9:00 am. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Today was our 5th and last e-learning day that we can use this academic year. Any further days will be treated like traditional snow days and need to be made up at the end of the year. With another round of rain, sleet, and freezing rain predicted for tonight and into the morning hours, please be prepared for a regular school day, a 2 hour late start, or a snow day. This winter has been challenging. Thanks for your patience and resolve.
Due to the lack of power and the freezing rain, Annawan Schools will use an e-learning day (1/22). Please stay safe and warm.
The District is aware of the power outage in our area. I hope you are all safe and warm. We are monitoring the situation the best we can. We understand that Ameren hopes to have power restored by 9:00 am tomorrow if not before. We will give Ameren the night to restore power and we will monitor the situation first thing in the morning along with the weather. As always, please be prepared for any type of school start in the morning. Stay warm and safe.
Junior High Boys Basketball - congratulations to the 8th grade Braves for winning the 2024 JH LTC Boys Basketball Tournament.

The Annawan School District will be starting school on time today( 1/19). Expect your bus to run regular schedule with a few delays.
Dear parents/guardians,
Due to the weather forecast for this evening and tomorrow morning, I wanted to touch base with you about our possibilities for attending school on Friday. The forecast is calling for 1-4 inches of snow with wind gusts up to 35 mph. The decision on when or if we attend school will most likely be determined tomorrow morning. I do want to give each of you an opportunity to plan accordingly. There are 3 possibilities for tomorrow. 1. We could have school as regularly scheduled. 2. We could have a 2 hour late start. Buses will run 2 hours later than a normal day. 3. We could use an E-Learning day. Please have a plan in place for your students in case we utilize a 2-hour delay or an e-learning day. I will make every effort to inform you as soon as I possibly can.
Congratulations to Kaylee Celus! Kaylee has signed her letter of intent to play volleyball next season at Monmouth College.
