The Annawan School District will be hiring a new custodian and bus driver for the 2022-2023 school year. The candidate will be paid for approximately 40 hours per week (combined custodian and bus driver duties). This opening is a result of an upcoming retirement and would begin as early as June 1, 2022. Substitute Teachers Needed  If you have an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree you are most likely eligible for a substitute teaching certificate in Illinois. Your degree does not have to be in education or a related field. o Contact the ROE (309) 936-7890 for more information.  Work only the days you choose, and never work a night or weekend!  Great supplemental income for seasonal workers or workers who get laid off part of the year. o If you are a worker who receives unemployment, according to IDES, if you earned less than 50% of your weekly benefit amount, you can receive your full amount of unemployment insurance benefits for that week. (Please verify this independently for your specific situation.)  If you have kids in school, you can work on their schedule.  It’s a good way to explore an interest in teaching.  Annawan Schools currently pay substitute teachers $97.50 per day with a raise to $103 per day after 15 days of work in a school year.  It’s nothing like the movies! The students and employees are great to work with.
