Baseball - The DH schedule with Princeville tomorrow (5/10) has been moved to Monday, May 12 with a 3:30 start time in Annawan.

Sports Physicals - The free sports physicals will not be offered on Wednesday, May 7. The new date is Tuesday, May 13 from 2:00 - 3:00 at the school. These physicals are for next year's athletes going into 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th and 12 grade. Students going into 6th and 9th grade will need to have a School Physical on an Illinois State form. Baseball update: JV baseball on 5/6 will now be played in Annawan following the varsity game. JV baseaball on 5/15 will now be played at Sherrard following the varsity game.

Paige Sierens was selected as A 2025 Candidate for the 2025 - 2026 Illinois FFA Major State Officer Team. Sierens is a member of the Annawan FFA Chapter of the Illinois Association FFA. Sierens is the daughter of Beth and Gary Sierens from Annawan. Sarah Paige Tarr is the agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor at Annawan High School. Earning this distinction of being named one of the ten candidates now makes Sierens eligible to be elected one of the five Illinois FFA Major State Officer positions of President, Vice-President, Reporter, Secretary, or Treasurer at the 97th Annual Illinois FFA State Convention on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the Bank of Springfield Center in Springfield, IL beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Softball today: Reminder today's softball game will be in Annawan vs R-W for a makeup. Game at AFC has been cancelled.

Come join us for our annual Open House on Thursday, May 1st. The students have many activities and projects on display. Doors will open at 6:00 and will close at 7:00. This includes grades Preschool-8th grade! Don't forget to stop by the grade school gym to see the 4th grade recorders and 5th grade band perform at 6:45. The last day of school will be Thursday, May 22nd with a 1:30 dismissal. Please mark your calendar on the time change. The high school will dismiss at 1:30 due to finals so the rest of the school will follow the same dismissal of 1:30!

Last night, the newly seated Annawan School Board officially began its term. We are pleased to welcome one new member, Rima Mounsef, to the Board. The current Board is composed of the following members: President: Liz Wied Vice President: Kim Park Secretary: Jeff Gerber Members: Kari Kipp, Terry DeMay, Emily Dornfeld, and Rima Mounsef This Board is dedicated to continuing to make Annawan Schools a great place for our students to learn and grow.

The Annawan School District would like to take a moment to express our deep appreciation to Mr. Jerad Heitzler for his 15 years of dedicated service to the Board of Education. Jerad joined the board in 2010 and has served as Board President for the past four years. We thank him for his commitment to our students and wish him the very best as he steps away from the Board.

High school softball schedule update: The SB game tomorrow (4/24) vs R-W will now be a DH starting at 4:00 in Annawan due to the rain out from Tuesday.
